The Chosen Voices

There are moments in life when we are called to stand up for something bigger than ourselves. Moments when we recognize that our voice, our compassion, and our willingness to act can change the course of someone else’s life. Youth Be Known is inviting passionate individuals to step into that calling by becoming part of a powerful movement known as The Chosen Voices.

Youth Be Known, founded by Chenita Tayborn, is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting families who foster and adopt children from the public foster care system. Our mission is rooted in advocacy, awareness, and action, ensuring that children who have experienced abuse, neglect, and trauma are seen, supported, and given the opportunity to thrive.

Across our communities, there are thousands of children who feel unseen and unheard. They carry stories of hardship that were never their fault. Through our programs, workshops, and the Perfectly Imperfect Campaign, Youth Be Known works to bring healing, hope, and resources to these children and the families who open their homes and hearts to them.

But real change does not happen alone.

It happens when voices come together.

This is where The Chosen Voices come in.

The Chosen Voices are a dedicated group of ambassadors who believe every child deserves to be known, loved, and supported. These ambassadors help amplify the mission of Youth Be Known by spreading awareness, engaging their communities, supporting foster families, and inspiring others to get involved.

As a Chosen Voice, you are not just volunteering. You are becoming part of a movement that is committed to transforming the lives of children in foster care.

Chosen Voices will

Share the mission of Youth Be Known within their communities and social networks
Help raise awareness about the foster care crisis
Support and uplift foster and adoptive families
Participate in Youth Be Known events and initiatives
Advocate for children who need safe, loving homes
Encourage churches, organizations, and individuals to become involved in the Perfectly Imperfect Campaign

Not everyone is called to foster or adopt, but everyone can do something. Some people are called to open their homes. Others are called to open their hearts and their voices.

The Chosen Voices are individuals who have decided that they will no longer remain silent about the needs of vulnerable children. They choose to speak life, bring awareness, and help create pathways of hope.

When you become a Chosen Voice, you are helping build a community where foster families feel supported, where churches feel equipped to respond, and where children who once felt forgotten are finally seen.

This is more than an ambassador program.

It is a movement.

It is a commitment to stand for children who cannot always stand for themselves.
